One of my most favorite things to make are diaper cakes. So, when a friend ask me to help, I said ” Oh, yeaaaahh!” Gossip time with my girls as we create cute centerpieces for her sister-in-law’s baby shower – how could I ever say “No”?
The theme was safari , so we decided that a one tier, jungle theme diaper cake would be great for the table centerpiece. There were 7 tables, so we’d have to make 7 mini diaper cakes with a different animal in top of each cake.
We just started off with the essentials: diapers, cardboard cake circles, brown shredded paper, ribbon, and a glue gun ( remember- the glue gun is your friend!)
Voila! The final product! And if this wasn’t fun enough, check out the unnecessary Thank You gift I received! YUM!
Here are a few more shots of the baby shower!
Look at that dessert table – I had nothing to do with that table, but it’s absolutely stunning, and had to include it here. ( And my dear friend says that she doesn’t have a creative bone in her body – who is she kidding??)
Update: March 23, 2015
As I checked my daily schedule using my fabulous new app, Those Days, what should appear as my ” Memory Photo”? Another jungle/safari themed diaper cake- only full-sized and filled with surprises (onesies, bibs, teething toys, lotion) within the cake!
Stay tuned! On a Throwback Thursday I have to post pics from my last baby shower and all the unique creations made from diapers!
