Birthday Pop!

I remember when I was a child. When I was invited to a birthday party, we would all be marching into the house with beautifully wrapped presents. Well, that seems to be all over now because the trend around my way seems to be gift cards. I see the allure in them because it’s conveniently sold in many places and there’s really no worry that another guest got him or her the same thing!  But if that doesn’t do it for all you creative moms or dads, then Birthday Pop may be just for you!

Disclaimer: This is not my idea – saw this on pinterest, and just added a little of this, and a little of that to make it my own!

Simply use a cleaned and dried soda bottle. Remove the soda label. Cut a little “door” somewhere behind where that label was and stuff it with candy, decorative paper, and of course your choice of gift card! When you’re done, cover it up with a homemade label ( I just created mine using Microsoft word, and plain white paper and glued it on with a hot glue gun- remember- the hot glue gun is your friend!) and there you go!
